One of the most popular shows around now has a traveling exhibition of its wears and inspirations. “Dressing Downton” celebrates the fashion and jewelry of the Downton Abbey. Enjoy the style of the working characters and the characters of leisure in this incredible exhibit. Extended museum hours from February 12 – May 7, 2017: Tue-Thu 10am-5pm, Fri-Sat 10-8pm, Sun 10-5, Closed Mondays. Muzeo is a beautiful venue and has a wide variety of exhibits and events throughout the year. While you’re in Anaheim, the Packing District is a great place to get a bite to eat.

25th First Night Fullerton: New Year’s Eve

A popular north Orange County tradition is First Night Fullerton. This is the 25th anniversary of this fun new year’s eve event. It’s a FREE, all ages, non-alcohol related event that takes place between 7pm and Midnight. On Harbor Blvd., Pomona Ave., and Wilshire Ave. Enjoy live music, extreme rides, zip lining, yummy food, games, roaming entertainment, and fireworks display at midnight. If you’re looking for a more beachy scene, try HB on January 1. The annual Surf City Splash takes place between 9-11AM. Activities include dip in the Pacific Ocean and a pancake breakfast. This event benefits the HB International Surf Museum.

Hometown Heroes Christmas Tree Dedication

Hometown Heroes Christmas Tree Dedication will honor those armed service members who lost their lives in Iraq, Afghanistan and Vietnam. It takes place Sunday, December 4th at Noon in the East Room of the Nixon Library. Each fallen hero will be recognized by name and families will receive personal ornaments to display on the special Hometown Heroes Christmas Tree. There is also a special film screening of ‘They Were Our Fathers’ at 2pm. This documentary film takes place at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C., as hundreds of children, now men and women, who lost their fathers during the Vietnam War honor their dads on Father’s Day with a special ceremony and remembrances left at The Wall. Both events are free and open to the public. Admission to the museum sold separately.

The Nixon Library is new & improved!

It has gone through a yearlong $15 million renovation which includes nearly 70 new major exhibits, including a replica of President Nixon’s Oval Office and an extensive exhibit on Nixon’s historic trip to China. It also features 30 unique multi-media experiences, 11 original films, 12 custom digital interactives, 10 curated archival film sequences, more than 600 photographs, 8,000 square feet of wall murals and more than 300 artifacts. This history-filled venue is a wonderful and impressive place to host a special occasion including weddings, family reunions, anniversaries, and business events.

Silverado Days: OCT 14-16

Enjoy Fall weather, family fun and good times at the 60th annual Silverado Days event from October 14-16. This popular event draws over 60,000 people from all over Orange County. It takes place at Peak Park in Buena Park. Have your choice of carnival rides, games, crafts, contests (pie eating contest, arm wrestling, dunk tank, speed pitch, bungee run, darts, win-a-fish and more), yummy food court, vendors, and fun. There will also be live entertainment. This cool event raises thousands of dollars for local charities.
