They have skilled genealogy experts from the Genealogical Society of North Orange County California to help you discover your roots. They are at the library on the second and fourth Mondays from 7-8:30 pm. If you like discovering your family tree on your own, try Ancestry. They even have a DNA feature to help you discover your ethnicity mix, geographic origins, and possible dna matches. The Yorba Linda library also has extensive programs for all ages, interests, and level of stud. The walk-in Passport services are convenient for you jetsetters out there.

St. Patrick’s Day Party/Fundraiser: YL Community CenterSunday March 12, 2017
Have fun until the wee hours of the night at the nearby Yorba Linda Community Center to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on March 17 to help a great cause. There will be 2 live bands, a Sing-Along Pub, Whiskey Tasting, Silent Auction and Traditional Irish Meal served included in the cost of the ticket is Irish Buffet, Appetizers, unlimited beer, wine, soda, water, dessert and coffee. The Irish Whiskey Bar is an additional cost. This event benefits the Placentia Yorba Meals on Wheels. Placentia Yorba Meals on Wheels is a dedicated, privately funded, 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We do not receive funds from Federal, State or Local Governments. We depend on contributions from individuals, organizations, and the business community. Their mission is to provide nourishing meals to those who are unable to prepare or obtain adequate meals for themselves. Their service enables many people to remain self-sufficient in their own homes and to maintaining their independence. Their wonderful volunteers not only deliver meals, they also provide daily visits in which they can check on clients’ welfare- “Delivering Smiles, a Meal at a Time!” They are proud to be in their 41st Year of Service.
